A SAS and SATA expander card manufactured by Hewlett Packard.
Cabling and Connecting the Extender
The extender card can operate with one or two ports being used as an uplink to the hosting SAS controller card. Ports 1 and 2 are used for uplink to the controller. When both ports are used bandwidth is doubled to the subsequent cascading drives.
